Ivan Tolic and his tennis pro girlfriend, Ana Konjuh must be thrilled with the pro tennis player latest achievements. The teenager is surely making a firm statement at the US Open by clamming the last women’s quarter-final spot.
The 18-year-old Croatian stunner did that, by knocking out 4th seed, Agnieszka Radwanska on Monday.
Konjuh, who became the first Croatian woman to reach the quarter-finals at a US Open, made her debut in the top 100 at just 16-years-old in 2014.
Ana won her first singles title on the WTA Tour at the 2015 Nottingham Open, becoming the youngest player to win a main tour event since 2006. She has also won one title on the ITF Tour.
In 2013, she moved up to number 1 in the ITF junior world rankings after winning both the singles and doubles junior events at the Australian Open.
Ana was born on December 27, 1997; in Dubrovnik, Croatia. She is one of four daughters born to businessman father, Mario and housewife mom, Iris. Her sisters are: Andrea, Antonia and Antea Konjuh.
She has worked with the same team since she was 11.
Konjuh is currently ranked No92 and a quarter-finals appearance is her best at a major tournament since she turned pro in 2014.
2013 was definitely a good year for Ana who won the 2013 US Open juniors title after claiming the Australian Open juniors crown. In 2014 however, she underwent right elbow surgery after Australian Open, subsequently missing almost four months.
Ana told media she took her new motivation from her Wimbledon loss where she held three match points before falling 9-7 in the third set.
Konjuh will face next 10th-seeded Karolina Pliskova.
Like any other teen, not everything is work. Her social media shows her fun side. She often posts images having a good time with friends. Among them, her boy, Ivan Tolic.
He is also listed as being ‘in a relationship’ and has a number of photos with a number of ladies. The most recent images, include him kissing Ana Konjuh.
