42-year-old Hugh Douglas graduated from Central State University with a major in elementary education, he was a first round draft choice in the 1995 NFL Draft by the Jets where he played until 1997 when he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, in 2002 he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars and two years later he moved back to Philly.
After he retired he was hired as an on-air reporter with WTXF-TV in Philadelphia and as a regular personality on Philadelphia’s sports radio station 610 WIP, and in January, 2011 ESPN hired Douglas an their analyst, a year after that he became full-time analyst on ESPN2’s Numbers Never Lie, sadly for him the use of racist language and a certain altercation between him and colleague Michael Smith, got him fired on August 13, 2013.
