Ashley Kerr
Ashley Kerr was born Ashley E. Kerr in October 1987in Florida; she is one of the children born Wade Kerr and his wife Karen Kerr, a registered nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Coach Daigneault and his wife Ashley got married on October 3, 2019. They welcomed their son, Alex John, in November 2021 and their daughter in April 2023.
to Ashley Kerr’s journey began as a gymnast for the Florida Gators from 2007 to 2010, where she excelled academically as a four-time member of the NCAA Scholastic All-America team and SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient.
After graduation, she transitioned to roles within the Florida gymnastics program, first as a volunteer student manager, then as team manager from 2011 to 2013. Kerr later became an assistant to the head coach at Florida, contributing to the program’s success, including three consecutive national championships from 2013 to 2015, along with multiple Super Six and SEC Championship appearances.
In 2017, Kerr joined the Oklahoma Sooners women’s gymnastics program as a volunteer assistant coach, specializing in coaching the beam team alongside head coach K.J. Kindler. Under their guidance, the beam team consistently ranked among the nation’s top three, achieving back-to-back No. 1 finishes in 2018 and 2019. Kerr played a significant role in the team’s success, aiding in NCAA and Big 12 Championship victories, and mentoring numerous All-American gymnasts.
Throughout her career, Kerr has maintained a strong focus on education. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Florida in 2010, followed by master’s degrees in sports management and telecommunications from UF. Her dedication to gymnastics and commitment to academic excellence have made her a valuable asset to both the Florida and Oklahoma gymnastics programs.

- Early Career:
- Mark Daigneault served as a student manager for the UConn Huskies from 2003 to 2007 under Jim Calhoun.
- Initially intending to pursue a master’s degree, he was encouraged by Calhoun and George Blaney to take an assistant coaching position at Holy Cross.
- Assistant Coaching Stints:
- After three seasons with Holy Cross, Daigneault joined the Florida Gators as an assistant under Billy Donovan while pursuing a sports management degree at the University of Florida.
- He contributed to the Gators’ success, including three SEC titles and an Elite Eight appearance each year.
- Oklahoma City Blue (2014–2019):
- Became head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue in 2014, setting franchise records in wins and playoff appearances.
- His tenure saw notable player developments and call-ups to NBA rosters.
- Assistant Coach with Oklahoma City Thunder (2019–2020):
- Rejoined Billy Donovan as an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
