Woa! Sabine Lisicki is on fire yawl! The 23-year-old German tennis player just kicked some butt at Wimbledon and not any butt! Lisicki Beat Serena Williams 6-2, 1-6, 6-4, in the Fourth round to end the five times champion’s 34-match winning streak! Sabine might have the best serve in the women’s game after Serena.
Born September 22, 1989 in Troisdorf, Germany; she stands at 5′ 10″ (1.78 m), weights 154 lbs. (70 kg), plays Right-handed (two-handed backhand) and turned pro in 2006. Lisicki has won three WTA singles tournaments in her career (one in 2009 and two in 2011) and one doubles tournament (in 2011). She reached the quarterfinals of the 2009 and 2012 Wimbledon Championships and the semifinals of the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. She achieved her career high rank of world number 12 on 21 May 2012.
No doubt she has worked her way into where she is now; on Sunday during afternoon practice with partner Mark Knowles she twitted saying “it was great fun” She definitely belongs in the grasscourt where she can show everyone what she does best. Sabine who is currently giving her best at the US Open, is said to be dating German actor, Oliver Pocher.
Info found online about the actor says, the 1.70 m tall German native is also a stand up comedian and TV host.
He was actually married to German model, Alessandra “Sandy” Meyer-Wolde with whom he fathered, daughter Nayla Alessandra Pocher and two sons. He and Sandy were married from 2010 till 2014.
Oliver was born February 18, 1978, that makes him 37-years-old and 11-years Sabine’s senior. According to his page, he went from selling insurance to his true calling. He has worked as a DJ, hosted radio shows and trade fairs, and stood at the Hanoverian comedy ensemble “Holla-Bolla” with his first Standups on stage.
In 1998 and in a bold move, he famously performed the song “Everybody” in front of the “Backstreet Boys and numerous journalists, in order to compete in the boy band – the band did not receive him, but paved the way for his career.
Oliver is very supportive of his new gal, he last tweeted “Let’s go !! @ sabinelisicki @ USOPEN” He and Lisicki have been dating since October 2013.
