Prior to making his MLB debut on October 3, 2015, Gary played for several minor league teams like the Gulf Coast Yankees, Staten Island Yankees, Charleston RiverDogs, Tampa Yankees, Trenton Thunder and ultimately for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Gary Sanchez and wife Sahaira who like him was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, have been together for a few years now; they tied the knot on January 7.
Sahaira loves being a supportive wife and a mommy for the couple’s adorable baby girl. She and Gary met when they were teenagers.
Sahaira Sanchez gave birth to daughter Sarah on August 20, 2014.
When speaking about the birth of their baby girl, a clearly overwhelmed Gary said:
“It is a beautiful experience to become a dad. It is kind of like once you become a dad; that’s your all and you want to make sure you can provide everything she needs.
It was very important because, when she was born, it was kind of like a new life began for me because it is a lot of responsibility; so you want to make sure that you can give it your all so you can get to the big leagues and you can stay in the big leagues and, definitely, it is a changing experience.”
