It is our grand pleasure to introduce to the newest NBA Wag in Miami Shannon Walker Williams, she is not a new wag per-say but she and her hubby Ray Allen are the latest addition in the Miami Heat squad!
Allen made his debut in Miami in October 2012. but we are not going into his life but hers..
Ray’s pretty wife 38-year-old Shannon Walker Williams aka Shannon Williams or Shannon Allen was born on November 15, 1974 to Jeannie Williams and William Williams.
Shannon Allen studied music at Northeastern University where she studied music. She was a singer in the Motown group “Shades” and has also sung the National Anthem in Milwaukee while her hubby was a player there.
Part of her filmography includes As the World Turns and Strangers With Candy in 1999, Bamboozled and Girlfight in 2000 and Blue’s Clues in 2001. Then in 2002 as Diane in Britney, Baby, One more Time, Century City in 2004
The couple has been together since 2004; they were long time boyfriend and girlfriend and finally made it official when they tied the knot at Martha’s Vineyard in August 2009. The happy power couple has three children, Tierra, Walter Ray & Walker. Guests at the wedding, which was held under sunny skies at a private home in Oak Bluffs, included the couple’s three children Tierra, Ray III, and Walker, fellow UConn alums Scott Burrell and 76er Kevin Ollie, Celts CEO Wyc Grousbeck and wife Corinne, and, of course, the NBA Championship trophy.
Recognized that gorgeous face?? Well let me refresh your memory, curvy as can be Shannon is a former actress who made a minor appearance in Spike Lee’s Bamboozled, Strangers With Candy, As The World Turns, and showed up in two episodes of Blue’s Clues. She was also in the singing group “Shades” who used to sing one of the greatest gold digger’s anthems “Tell Me (I’ll Be Around)”
But all that is long gone since she dedicated to be a full time mommy specially caring for their son Walker. Walker Allen is five years old, and just like his father, he loves basketball. He’s constantly in motion, barely sitting still long enough to check his blood sugar level, something he needs to do. Walker has Type 1 Diabetes and back in 2008 Shannon had the scare of her life! When Walker just 17 months at the time was very sick so she rushed him to the hospital only to find out her little boy’s blood sugar lever was 639!
But thanks to the doctor he recovered just fine and now the couple is big on helping others be aware about diabetes. You can get more information here. They also became founders of “Ray of Hope Foundation” you can find it on Facebook here.
