AnDe Ragsdale Summitt
AnDe Ragsdale Summitt is the wife of Tyler Summitt, son of Pat Summitt and former women’s basketball coach at Louisiana Tech, he resigned from his job after admitted he had an affair with one of his players.
“I am profoundly disappointed in myself for engaging in a relationship that has negatively affected the people I love, respect and care about the most,” Summitt said in a statement issued through Louisiana Tech.
“My hope, plans and prayers are to repair those relationships. I am appreciative of the opportunity I was given to coach at Louisiana Tech. I am heartbroken that my time has ended in Ruston, but because of my respect for the institution, it is best that I resign. I am hopeful the media and the public will respect the privacy of my family and me as we deal with this difficult situation I have caused.”
AnDe Ragsdale Summitt’s husband Tyler Summitt was born Ross Tyler Summitt on September 21, 1990, to R.B Summitt and former basketball coach Pat Summitt, who coached the University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team from 1974 to 2012, when she stepped down from her position after being diagnosed with Alzheimer disease in May, 2011.
Tyler attended Webb School and the University of Tennessee where he was a member of the Tennessee men’s basketball team and graduated with a major in Communication studies and a business minor. He served as assistant coach to Terri Mitchell at Marquette University from 2012 to 2014. In April, 2014 Tyler Summitt became the sixth coach for the Louisiana Tech’s Lady Techster basketball team.
Tyler Summit’s wife is AnDe Ragsdale Summitt, his high school sweetheart who dated him for five years before they got married on June 1, 2013.
25-year-old Anne Dennis Ragsdale from Knoxville, Tennessee, one of two children born to Rebecca and Dennis Ragsdale who is an attorney at Long, Ragsdale and Waters.
AnDe Ragsdale Summitt attended at Webb High School and Marquette University where she graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and also holds a degree in kinesiology from the University of Tennessee.
