One of the most cherished anecdotes from his life occurred in 1989 when he met baseball legend Joe DiMaggio at Albany Airport. With excitement bubbling over, Al proudly declared, “Mr. DiMaggio, I have ten children, and I taught each one of them that you are the best baseball player to ever take the field. After marrying Al at 24, she returned to work at Mullen’s, where her familiar face became a comforting presence. Remarkably, she earned her driver’s license at age 39 and ventured into real estate at 50.

Matt Quatraro is a former baseball player who has transitioned into a successful coaching career. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar, New York, in 1992 and went on to attend Old Dominion University. While at Old Dominion, he played for the Monarchs baseball team in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).
College Achievements
- 1994: Quatraro earned the CAA Tournament Most Valuable Player Award and was named to the CAA’s second team as a first baseman.
- Summer Baseball: He played for the Harwich Mariners in the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summers of 1994 and 1995.
- 1995-1996: Quatraro was recognized as a first-team All-CAA catcher in both his junior and senior years. He maintained an impressive .400 batting average throughout his college career and was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American in 1996.
- All-American Honors: In his senior year, he received second-team All-American honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association and third-team recognition from Collegiate Baseball.
Professional Career
