Just over a year after her ex-wife Ashlyn Harris filed for divorce, former football star Ali Krieger admitted she had a new love in her life.
Krieger, 40, revealed on his Instagram story on November 28 that he is currently dating Scottish footballer Jen Beattie, who also publicly announced the news.
When Beatty, 33, posted a picture of the two smiling over red wine on his story, writing, “Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving to my beloved alikrieger,” Krieger shared the picture on his story, replying, “I wouldn’t have known.”.
On July 24, Krieger appeared on the She Pivots podcast and revealed that he was dating someone new but wanted to keep his identity private at the time.
“I’m dating someone who I really, really like right now. You know, I’m so grateful we met,” Krieger said at the time.
She added that she did not start dating Harris immediately after her marriage ended.
Harris is currently dating actress Sophia Bush, as she had to be “sad” that their relationship broke down.
The retired U.S. women’s national soccer team star added, “Since Ashlyn left, she’s had time to focus on her football and finish her career, and she’s also worked on healing and licking her wounds.”.
Krieger added: “I think it’s only been eight or nine months now that I’ve had time to get over my sadness and sort out all those emotions.”.
Harris, 39, filed for divorce from Krieger in September 2023, PEOPLE confirmed on the Seminole County Clerk’s website.
They have two children, Sloan and Ocean. They married on Dec. 28, 2019, and have been married for almost four years.
Meanwhile, Krieger’s new lover Beatty played for English Premier League side Arsenal and previously dated Love Island: UK winner Amber Gill.
