She is the beautiful and amazing wife of college basketball coach Brian Dutcher, head coach for the San Diego State Aztecs men’s basketball team at San Diego State University. Coach Dutcher previously worked at the University of Michigan, South Dakota State and the University of Illinois.
Brian Dutcher Parents
Coach Brian Dutcher born on October 30, 1959, in Alpena, Michigan; he is one of the children of former college basketball coach Jim Dutcher and his wife, Marilyn Dutcher.
His father Jim, an Alpena High School and Michigan graduate, played basketball on the 3rd Armored Division Artillery basketball team in Germany while he coached the offensive line for the Armored Division football team.
He was the recipient of the Elmer Gideon Scholarship to play basketball and football, he graduated in 1955 with a B.S in physical education and an M.A. in 1961, from the University of Michigan.
He started his coaching career as head coach and athletic director at Alpena Community College. He was later named head coach at Eastern Michigan University in 1966, assistant coach at the University of Michigan in 1972 and head coach for the Gophers at the University of Minnesota from 1975 to 1986.
In addition to coach Brian Dutcher, Jim and Marilyn are proud parents to his daughters Barbara Jacobson, Diane McDutt, the Vice President of Human Capital at UnitedHealthcare and attorney Judi Dutcher, who served as the Minnesota State Auditor.

Coach Dutcher graduated from Jefferson High School in 1979 and in 1982, received his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Minnesota; he also holds a master’s degree in physical education and athletic administration from the University of Illinois.

- He joined San Diego State on March 26, 1999, as an associate head coach under head coach Steve Fisher.
- On April 11, 2017, the San Diego State Aztecs named Brian Dutcher their new head coach.
