Rick Tocchet’s ex-wife, Lynne Tocchet, was born Lynne A. Wilke on March 20, 1972, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Lynne Tocchet graduated in 1994, with a bachelor of science in Marketing from Penn State.
Lynne works as a business development leader at RH; before that, was director of interior design at Pacaso and design principal at Creative Designs. According to an article published by The Athletic, Rick and Lynne Tocchet divorced when their son Trevor was still a toddler; he has no memory of his parents together.
“I have talked to some of my friends who have divorced parents,” said Trevor, who was born in Arizona while Rick was playing for the Coyotes. “There are some where the parents get along, but there are some where the mom and dad don’t speak or they only get to see one parent.
“That has never been the case with my mom and dad. Both of my parents understood how important it was to have a great relationship for me and they both did a really good job of that. Back when I was in Pittsburgh, we’d all have dinner together. My dad would come over to the house. We still take trips together. It has always been a really good relationship.”

“We’d have phone conversations. We tried to hook up on the road or if there was day off I’d try to fly back, but it was tough. It really hurt me. I wasn’t around to take him to sports or to take him to play hockey and I think he would have been a good hockey player. You just don’t feel as close because you’re not there.”

Rick Tocchet’s son Trevor Tocchet was born in Arizona in 2000. 6’5 Trevor Tocchet, who played hockey in high school and college, graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 2018 and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor’s in computer science in 2022.
Trevor Tocchet is a software engineer at Picket Homes. He was previously an intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific and an undergraduate teaching assistant at Rensselaer.
