Deborah Benford
Have you met Deborah Benford? This pretty lady is the lovely wife of college basketball coach Tony Benford, the former assistant head coach for the LSU Tigers, and interim coach for the team since March 2019, when LSU indefinitely suspended head coach Will Wade.
Coach Benford initially joined LSU in 2017, prior to that he was the head coach for the North Texas Mean Green. He started his coaching career as the assistant head coach at the University of New Mexico in 1992.
He later joined the Arizona State Sun Devils, Nebraska in 2006 and Marquette in 2011. Before coaching, Tony was a basketball player at Texas Tech, he also played basketball at Hobbs High School.
Did you know that coach Benford was drafted by the Celtics during the 1986 NBA Draft? He later played for the Dutch Basketball League.
There isn’t much info about Tony’s wife Deborah, thus far, we found that she was born Deborah Letitia Lewis on September 1, 1963.
Deborah and Tony Benford tied the knot in Texas on August 18, 1992.
They have been blessed with four children; Jeremy Soria now married to Neika, mom of his three children, Audriana (b. 1989), Tony, Jr. (b. 1992), and Milena born in 1991.
