Deborah White
Deborah White was the loving and caring wife of former NBA player Jo Jo White. The 6’# Missouri native played point guard for the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors. Prior to the NBA, Jo Jo played college basketball at the University of Kansas.
Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of fame in 2015, Jo Jo White was 71 when he died on January 16, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Deborah White, and his six children from two marriages.
Before Deborah, Jo Jo White was married to his first wife Estelle Bowser White, a financial advisor.
Estelle gave birth to her son Brian in April 1975;Â he is a former NFL player with the Patriots, later an actor famous for his role as Captain Dallas Patterson in NBC’s Chicago Fire.
In 1977, they welcomed twins daughter Ashley (now Ashley White D’Agostino) and Errin, now Errin Salah a marketing consultant in Chicago.
Jo Jo and Estelle divorced in February 1979; luckily the divorce was amicable and they remained good friends.
He eventually tied the knot to Mrs. Deborah E. White, 64, born Deborah Nixon; mother of their youngest children, Jessica, Meka and Jamie.
Deborah White, graduated from East High, subsequently went to Albany State University.
