Meet Amanda Pillar
Amanda Pillar is the lovely wife of MLB player, Kevin Pillar. Her Blue Jays outfielder hubby looked great in game 3 of the ALCS last night! Toronto jumped out to a 9-2 advantage, only to hang on for an 11-8 decision over the visiting Royals, who lead the best-of-seven series two games to one. 2015 has sure been the players breakthrough year.
The 26-year-old soared past the tag to score the second run in Game 3 of the AL Championship Series on Monday night. Whether at full speed or slow motion, Kevin made a Superman-like slide that made him a trending topic for the rest of the night. While some stated Pillar as their man crush Monday, others simple wondered why whether or not it’s too late for him to run in the 2015 federal election!
Toronto Blue Jays had selected him – in the 32nd round in the 2011 draft. Though, Kevin wasn’t too excited about getting away from home, in fact he was disappointed to be considered the long shot. He said he used that as motivation to rise fast through the minors.
He made his major-league debut in 2013 and is the lowest selection of his draft class to get that far.
Installed as Toronto’s everyday left fielder after Michael Saunders suffered a knee injury in spring training, Pillar has emerged as the Blue Jays’ most impressive performer as the 2015 season courses through its second week.
Kevin grew up in the residential L.A. neighborhood of West Hills in the western San Fernando Valley region. He was born Kevin Andrew Pillar on Jan. 4, 1989. Pillar tried his hand at everything he could, from riding dirt bikes to golf, tennis and beach volleyball. Things have definitely gotten better for Pillar, starting with his lovely wife, Amanda.
Blonde Amanda Pillar, is not to be confused with another Amanda Pillar –one who is an award-winning editor and author who lives in Victoria, Australia.
Our Amanda Pillar, was born Amanda Gulyas, she’s 26-years-old. According to her LinkedIn, she attended California State University Dominguez Hills, which is the same school Kevin attended. That leads us to believe is the magical place where they met and fell in love.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. Amanda Pillar is currently listed as a TV & Film Coordinator at Davie Brown Entertainment, where she’s worked for the past three-years.
She previously worked for ZICO Beverages, LLC and for Brown + Dutch Public Relations.
Amanda Pillar and Kevin tied the knot on October 18, 2014. It seems the marriage of one-year is still enjoying their time together before having kids!
