Felisha Terrell, baseball player Matt Kemp’s ex girlfriend was born in Chicago on March 16, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois. She attended the University of Iowa and graduated in 2001, with honors.
In 2004 she and Matt began dating. It’s been rumored that at the time of their break up they were engaged. After their break up Felisha decided that she wanted to act, so she went to Los Angeles and took acting classes. She has had parts in The Social Network and Get Smart. More recently she has been seen as alpha werewolf Kali in MTV Teen Wolf- season 3.
In 2008, Felisha filed a restraining order against Matt claiming that he was verbally abusive and threatening. She also said she feared for her life. She later dropped the order.
When Matt began dating Rhianna, the issue resurfaced. Was Matt abusive to Felisha? It seems not according to both sides. His rep stated that they had dated two years ago and when Matt decided to end the relationship and asked her to move out of his apartment. She reused, and filed the TRO in an effort to remain in the apartment. The order was later vacated. A statement released by Felisha’s rep in January of 2010, said, “Felisha Terrell and Matt Kemp lived together and were in a relationship for over a year where they both cared for one another. During the course of the relationship there was a restraining order filed by Felisha but it had nothing to do with domestic violence and to be clear Matt was never physically abusive to Felisha, nor did she fear for her life. The restraining order was subsequently vacated. They both have moved on separately but remain amicable.”
Now that Matt is dating Khloe Kardashian, it seems that the tabloids will not let the issue die a natural death. Matt may be a lot of things, but we believe that abusive to women is not one of them.
