Addison’s journey in football began at Tuscarora High School, located in Frederick, Maryland. Here, he showcased his versatility on the field, playing as a wide receiver, quarterback, and defensive back. His impressive performance led to his commitment to further his education and football career at the University of Pittsburgh.
In 2020, Addison had a remarkable start to his college football career at Pittsburgh. Even as a true freshman, he played in 10 games and was a starting player in eight of those. He quickly became a standout player on the team, leading with 60 catches for a total of 666 yards, scoring four touchdowns.
In 2021, Addison returned to Pittsburgh as a key starter. This year proved to be an exceptional one for him. He emerged as a leader in college football, with a record-breaking 17 touchdown receptions in the regular season. Alongside this, he made 100 catches spanning 1,593 yards. These extraordinary achievements led to him being honored as a consensus All-American and winning the prestigious 2021 Fred Biletnikoff Award.

- On April 27, 2023, the Minnesota Vikings selected Jordan Addison in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He was the 23rd overall pick.
- Just a few weeks later, on May 17, 2023, Addison officially became a Viking by signing his contract with Minnesota.
- Addison made his much-anticipated NFL debut in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite the Vikings’ 17-20 loss, Addison left a strong impression with 4 catches for 61 yards and scoring his first ever NFL touchdown.
