Megan Conger

Megan Conger is the younger sister of American swimmer, Jack Conger. Her 20-year-old brother was stopped from leaving Brazil after he and other US team swimming members were involved in a robbery.

Megan’s brother and fellow teammate, Gunnar Bentz were prevented from getting on their plane back to the US. They, along with Ryan Lochte and Jimmy Feigen were victims of a robbery which is still under investigation by Brazilian authorities. Apparently officials are not satisfied with the Olympic swimmers’ testimonies and say their account does not add up.

Jack Conger was born September 26, 1994 in Rockville, MD. Jack specializes in the backstroke, butterfly and freestyle. He qualified in the U.S. Olympic Trials winning bronze in the 200 meter freestyle. With a 50 meter split of 26.83, he secured a relay spot.

In his later years, Conger attended Our Lady of Good-Counsel High School. During his high school swimming career, Conger broke the National High School Record in the 500-yard freestyle.

In his freshman season at Texas Conger finished as a five-time All-American. He placed fifth in the 500 freestyle, sixth in the 100 butterfly and eighth in the 200 backstroke. In addition to his two top-eight performances as a member of the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay.

But Jack isn’t the only athlete in the family. Megan Conger is a badass volleyball player.


Megan and her older brother, are the children of of Stephen and Bridget Conger. Like her brother, Megan hails from Rockville, Md. The 5-11 player attended Our Lady of Good Counsel.

During her high school days, Megan played under the direction of Karen Kart. Megan Conger played four years at Our Lady of Good Counsel as an outside hitter.

She received Second Team Washington Catholic Athletic Conference honors in 2014. During the 2014 season, she was also named to the First Team All-Gazette of Montgomery County and the Second Team ALL-MET for the Washington Post. In 2015, Megan was selected to the First Team WCAC and First Team ALL-MET. Megan Conger led Maryland in hitting percentage in 2014 and 2015 (AVCA).

She graduated high school this years and is currently enrolled at Juniata College, where she plans to study psychology.


Megan Conger identifies as a gay woman. She is currently in a relationship with Meaghan Weitz. They began dating earlier this year.
