Sara Bellin
Sara Bellin is the wife of Sebastien Bellin /Seb Bellin the Brazilian Belgian basketball player who played at Oakland university and who was among the victims injured in Brussels attacks where 30 people died and 170 were injured when two bombs exploded at Brussels airport on March 22, 2016.
Sara Bellin’s husband Seb Bellin was born Sebastien Yves Bellin on May 17, 1978 in Sao Paulo, Brazil to Belgian parents. He is a former center basketball player who attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York before graduating from Oakland University in 2000.
He was part of the Belgian basketball champion national roster team in 2007, his last appearance with the national team was in 2010. Seb Bellin played with the Italian basketball club Sicc Aurora Jesi in 2000, Power Wevelgem in 2001, Antwerp giants Sanex in 2003 and Telindus Oostende in 2006.
In 2009, he joined the Czech club BK Prostejov and the Dutch club Donar, in 2010 played with the Belgium club the Gents Hawks, followed by the Belfius Mons-Hainaut until 2013 when he returned to play for the Gent Hawks.
Bellin was at the airport in Brussels to catch his flight to Michigan where his wife Sara Bellin and their two children live, when a bomb exploded throwing him 20 metres into the air by the blast and has since undergone surgery for his injuries.
Sebastien Bellin is married to the former Sara Schimmel a stunning dancer from Michigan who was a member of the Detroit Pistons Automotion dance team. Sara Bellin, 39, was born in December, 1976 to Ross and Patricia Schimmel. Sara and Seb Bellin got married on July 6, 2006, they reside in Battle Creek, Michigan with their two beautiful daughters.
