Lets salute the new Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle gold medalist!
Canadian pro snowboarder Spencer O’Brien has been making headlines for a while now. The 27-year-old –who the gold medal in slopestyle at the 2013 FIS Snowboarding World Championships –most recently is making her mark at X Games Aspen 2016. Do you know who is Spencer O’Brien’s Boyfriend?
According to ESPN, O’Brien won her first-ever Women’s Slopestyle gold medal with a clean run and a switch backside 720, today.
Not many are that impress though, O’Brien is usually at the podium of all the events she attend. She happens to be one of the best female snowboarders around. Growing up in the mountains of BC, she has been snowboarding since age 11.
She began her career in Halfpipe and had to make the transition to Slopestyle.
She was first trained by her father and older sister Meghann. She is a well know figure in the sport.
In 2008 she was voted Transworld’s Rookie of the Year. Spencer has competed primarily on the World Snowboard Tour, the world’s largest series of freestyle snowboarding events, which has made her a Four-Time Winter X Games Medalist.
In 2012 where she was crowned victorious at the TTR World Snowboarding Championship as well as the O’Neill Evolution Big Air and the Dew Tour Championship in 2012.
With her kind of success countless media appearances have lead her to attracted her big time sponsorship from the likes of Dragon and Rockstar. Spencer was the first woman on the Nike snowboarding team. According to Canada Snowboard, she moved to Whistler at age 17.
When she is not snowboarding, Spencer enjoys cooking, baking, fashion and hiking. We are not extacly sure if the extreme sports athlete is currently dating anyone but in an article from AlliSports she makes a reference about sharing the bottom level of a house with her boyfriend.
In another article from 2009, she makes a reference about her ‘skier boyfriend’ however it seems at the moment she is currently single.
