Becky Dantonio
Becky Dantonio is the loving and beautiful wife of football coach Mark Dantonio, Michigan State coach since 2007, he was once defensive coordinator at Ohio State and head coach at Cincinnati.
Becky’s talented husband coach Mark Dantonio was born in El Paso, Texas on March 9, 1956 to Maryan and former high school basketball player Justin Dantonio, his grandfather Frank moved from Italy to the US in 1912.
Coach Dantonio, attended at Zanesville High School where his father was a coach at and then went to the University of South Carolina where he graduated in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in education and was in the football team as defensive back player.
A year later he received his master’s degree in education from Ohio University. He landed his first coaching job at Ohio University as a graduate assistant before joining Purdue University. In 1986, became defensive secondary coach at Youngstown State University.
In 1991, he joined the Kansas Jayhawks. Four years later, coach Nick Saban called him to join his staff at Michigan State. In 2000, became associate head coach at MSU.
A year later he became defensive coordinator at Ohio State and head coach at Cincinnati in December, 2006. Michigan State named him their 24th head coach on November 27, 2006.
Mark Dantonio and his wife Becky A. Pope Dantonio got married on July 7, 1990; Becky was approximately 27 years old when they said “I Do” in Mahoning County, Ohio.
Together they are blessed with two beautiful daughter Lauren and Kate, both student at MSU. Becky Dantonio was born Rebecca A. Pope in Sep. 1962. She is a graduate of Lake High School and Ohio State University.
