Adam Burks, the husband of ESPN analyst Jessica Mendoza was not happy to know minor league player Brooks Marlow posted a sexist tweet about his wife, but he is happy now that the Astros talked to Marlow, who apologized after agreeing his tweet was insensitive and inappropriate. Not only The Astros, apologized for Marlow, but they praised Jessica, calling her an outstanding broadcaster that we have had the pleasure of working with this season.”
Adam’s beautiful wife Jessica was a softball player prior to joining ESPN in June, 2014. Besides being an analyst on ESPN’s Baseball Tonight, Jessica is a sideline reporter for ESNPU and a color analyst during the Women’s College World Series, but she also is board member of the National Education Association President of the Women’s Sports Foundation and athletic ambassador for Team Darfur.
Star Athlete before ESPN
Jessica is one of four children born to parents Gil and Karen Mendoza. She was born on November 11, 1980 in Camarillo, California. Attended at Adolfo Camarillo High School. Mendoza road to stardom as a softball star started in high school, she was the 1998 Los Angeles Times “Player of the Year”, two times Female Athlete of the Year.
She played as an outfielder player at Stanford University and the Team USA that participated at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and took the gold home. Jessica and Team USA won a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
Jessica Mendoza Female Athlete of the Year in 2006, was part of the national team that won the silver at both the World Cup and the Japan Cup. She also played in the 2003 and 2005 Pan American Games.

Adam Burks, graduated in 1987 from the University High School. Mr. Burks a U.S Marine that served in Desert Storm graduated from Eastern Washington University. He is today an assistant engineer for the city of Moorpark in Ventura County.
Adam and Jessica met in 2004, at a wedding in California and married two years later. They reside in Southern California with their two sons Caleb Ashton and Cayden Adam.
