Olympic figure Skater Gracie Gold has been called the Ice Princess of the USA Olympic Team competing at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, we heard this princess has her prince charming by her side, and that lucky guy has been identified as Max Aaron.
Does Max Aaron’s name ring any bells? It certainly does, and that is because like Gracie Gold, her rumored boyfriend is also a figure skater, he didn’t make it to the USA Olympic Team though, but he sure has some impressive resume.
21-year-old Max Aaron was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 22, 1995; to Neil Aaron a pediatrician and Mindy Aaron a nurse. Max has two beautiful sisters, both figure skaters, Molly his older sister and Madeline a 2013 US junior bronze medalist.
Max graduated in 2010 from Cheyenne Mountain High School, he is pursuing a major in business at the University of Colorado.
Max has been skating since he was four at first ice hockey was his call, he began figure skating lessons five years later in an afford to improve his skating skills.
In 2006 Max Aaron competed in the USA Hockey Nationals and as a figure skater at the US championships where he finished 5th place, 13t place at the U.S. Championships the following year.
2008 was a difficult year for Max, he fractured the right and left of his L5 lumbar vertebrae, had to wear a body cast for four months, went to seven months of hard physical therapy and spend a whole year off the ice, for a second he considered quitting skating and going to Arizona state with his sis Molly, luckily that didn’t happen.
Under the direction of coach Tom Zakrajsek, Max moved to Scottsdale, trained at the Broadmoor Skating Club and the World Arena. by the following season Max Aaron was ready for his comeback to the ice and winning medals.
And so he did, taking the bronze at the U.S. national junior Championships and silver at the 2011 SBC Cup in Karuizawa, Japan. His gold medal came when he competed at the 2012 U.S International Classic.
Max won the 2013 U.S Figure Skating Championships in Omaha, Nebraska, won a bronze medal at the 2013 Skate America, which was also his Grand Prix debut.
